Anton Kriz is Associate Professor of Management. His research interests include innovation management, particularly changing outcomes for enterprise, clusters and regions. Anton uses techniques including action research and action learning to introduce change and alter these complex adaptive systems. In addition to innovation management, Anton has extensive expertise in international marketing/business with his unique and direct understanding of markets like China fostered during his time as a Churchill Fellow. Anton’s work has been published in Journal of Product Innovation Management, Journal of Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of R&D Management, International Journal of Cross-Cultural Management and Journal of Knowledge Management. His research on improving innovation connections and web-based outcomes for SMEs has been funded by industry and government, including the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science and the Cooperative Research Centre Program. Anton’s success in bringing substantive industry grants to university research saw him awarded an Excellence in Innovation Award by Newcastle Innovation.
