Biography
Dr Xinli Huang is a Senior Lecturer in International Business and Strategy at the Research School of Management, The Australian National University. She received her PhD in International Business from The University of Western Australia. Prior to joining ANU, she worked at the University of Sheffield and Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU).
Her research focuses on two interconnected areas of international business and strategy. The first examines the international reconfiguration of multinational enterprises, with particular attention to how firms adapt their strategies, organizational boundaries, and international networks in response to uncertainty and changes in the global environment. The second investigates the internationalization of creative economies, focusing on how institutions and cross-country differences shape firm internationalization and entrepreneurial activity across creative and digital contexts.
Her research has been published in academic journals, including the Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Management, Journal of World Business, Regional Studies, and Public Administration Review, among others. Her work has received the Best Paper Award from the International Management Division of the Academy of Management, along with other Best Paper Awards and finalist recognition.
