RSM PhD Scholarship


This PhD scholarship is offered by the ANU College of Business and Economics. The scholarship aims to attract a student of high calibre to pursue graduate research in the field of project management.

The scholarship is affiliated with a research project jointly funded by the Defence Science and Technology Group of the Australian Department of Defence and the Research School of Management, Project investment benefit realisation to enhance force effectiveness.

In order to be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

  • meet minimum qualification requirements for admission to the program for a Doctor of Philosophy in the Research School of Management
  • be an Australian citizen
  • be willing and eligible to apply for Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) security clearance from the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA)

In order for the successful candidate to maintain the scholarship their PhD research needs to remain strongly related to the project. The candidate must also apply for, gain and maintain Negative Vetting 1 security clearance from the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency. If clearance is not received within 6 months of application submission the scholarship may be suspended until clearance is obtained.

  • Academic Transcript
  • CV
  • A one-page document outlining your interest in this research topic and why you are applying for this program; along with evidence of meeting the eligibility criteria for PhD candidature at the Australian National University

Applicants will then be required to apply for admission through ANU
