This ANU project, funded by the Commonwealth Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and led by the Crawford School of Public Policy, seeks to fill an important gap in the current landscape of DFAT initiatives in the knowledge and policy environment. Associate Professor Pierre Van Der Eng (RSM) joins a large network of researchers from across ANU on this important project, which supports the establishment of critical policy infrastructure for the Indonesian Government by developing strong research and analytical skills in cohorts of Indonesian economic and social policy experts. The project contributes to increasing awareness about issues relating to Indonesia's development, and builds influential alumni networks by supporting Indonesian students and academics to produce and disseminate research, conduct public dialogue, contribute to policy change, build institutional capacity and establish institutional networks. The project commenced in 2022.
