Honours Program

Honours is an elite and challenging undergraduate research program for top students. It requires a fourth year of additional study after the three-year Bachelor Degree (or combined degree equivalent). The Honours program may be undertaken in one year full-time or on a part-time basis.

Generally, the Honours program includes research method and theory coursework components (4 courses or equivalent to the value of 24 units). The remainder of the Honours program consists of 24 units in the form of a thesis of up to 100 pages.

It is advisable that the Honours student identify a potential academic supervisor to discuss about their research area and topic. For information including the conditions that apply to the Honours Award, please contact the convenor at toni.eagar@anu.edu.au.
